Feast India is a glorious ride through Indian culture, food and religion, and is presented by English chef, Barry Vera. Street food is a great interest, and Barry enjoys discovering the wide variety of regional cuisine that India has on offer.  Of equal interest are the wonderful cultural details that make each area of India so distinct. From Bollywood artists to cooking in the desert, food markets to a small town wedding, wild elephants to cardamom auctions, the rattle and hum of Mumbai to the silence of the salt mines and, of course… much, much more.

Beautifully shot on digital widescreen, with composed music, it is warm and informatively written.  An abundant slice of Indian life.

Indian cuisine is a UK national favourite but when it comes to cooking it at home, it can seem rather complicated and easier to pop to the local takeaway. Food writer and chef Anjum Anand is passionate about Indian cooking and here she is on a mission to show exactly how simple it is to cook delicious, healthy Indian food. Anjum travels round Britain, taking her message to a health spa, country fair, fire station and even a small Cornish village to show those who love Indian food, but have never cooked it before, everything they need to know. This series is about demystifying Indian cuisine and its explosive flavours. It will change people’s perceptions of Indian food so that anyone can contemplate eating or cooking this way at any time of the day and on any occasion.

Culture X investigates lesser known customs and practices in and around the region. From foods eaten to ceremonies and rituals performed, these happenings are considered commonplace in certain cultures, but are nonetheless compelling, mind blowing and sadly, some would be horrifying to the average viewer.

We head to the source and hear from the horse’s mouth, capturing these practices live to engage and stir the curiosity of viewers. Each episode will leave viewers hungry to learn more about things and peoples other than their own.

Shakugan no Shana

One day, a girl named Shana, identified by the title “Flaming Hair, Fiery Eyes” appears in the life of high school student Yuji Sakai. She tells Yuji about the existence of an alternative world known as Guze, and that his life is about to come to an end. In order to fulfill their greedy ambitions, the Guze no Tomogara take away the Powers of Existence from the living, and Yuji happens to be one of their victims. Torches, which are then left behind as temporary replacements for those who have had their Powers of Existence removed, will soon be forgotten by the living humans over time. How would Yuji's fate turn out?

The long-awaited reunion between Louise and Saito finally comes true. According to Saito, while he was unconscious in the forest, a beautiful fairy saved him from the clutches of death. Louise finds that the relationship between her and Saito is getting much closer than before, and she hopes that she can be more truthful to her own feelings.

Under the command of Henrietta, Louise, Saito and Siesta, the maid, set out on a journey to look for the fairy that is said to possess prodigious powers. During the journey, Louise’s feelings of insecurity towards Saito start escalating. Incidentally, she starts giving Saito the cold shoulder, which greatly sours the relationship between them. They finally meet Tiffania, a young female fairy with blonde hair, in the Albion forest. They are appalled by the unimaginable size of her chest. Saito unwittingly becomes embarrassed and this gets Louise very mad.

With the young female fairy joining their school and the realisation of the feelings that Siesta has for Saito, Louise is finding it hard to stay in command of her own feelings. And on top of that, even Queen Henrietta herself?! While a mixed-up love battle unfolds, the shadows of an unseen enemy launch its attack on Louise and her friends.
