BEAUTY FACT SHEET

DID YOU KNOW?

1. For centuries, the extremely rare White Tea was prized by emperors as the key ingredient in China’s famed elixir of immortality.  In a recent study, scientists at University Hospitals of Cleveland and Case Western Reserve University demonstrated the antioxidant properties in White Tea.

2. The Chinese believe that meridians or energy channels flowed along 10 zones from the head to the feet and hands. As all parts of the body are linked by these zones, pressing one area could produce an anaesthetic or healing effect in another – that all parts of the body, including internal organs could be treated by manipulating points on the feet alone.

3. Henna is derived from the leaves of the plant, Lawsonia inermis, found in the Middle East and other hot dry climates. The bush is harvested, dried and then crushed to make henna powder. Henna is known as a wonder herb - used for hair treatment, heat rash relief, and skin conditioner, as well as body art.
